What is a PDU ? A power distribution unit (PDU) is an apparatus equipped with multiple outputs for distributing electric power, specifically to racks of computers and networking equipment in data center.

InfraPower MD-Metered Rack PDU

The InfraPower MD metered PDU is a Rackmount industrial grade PDU for mission critical data centers. The MD PUD allows true RMS current monitoring via a simple, digital RMS ammeter. The blue LED display is easy to read from a distance and allows rapid access to the aggregate load on the circuit; this easily prevents circuit overloads during equipment installation and allows users to capacity plan based on actual real time power consumption.

This metered PDU is available in either vertical or horizontal versions, with between two and 24 receptacles.
